Responsible for designing, operating, and maintaining network programming,
security, penetration testing, and other technical support functions in support
of Computer Crimes Division (CCD) investigations. Installed, maintained, operated,
modified and configured CCD network surveillance devices to provide evidentiary
support to CCD investigations of intrusions of NASA systems or situations where a
computer or other electronic means is used in the commission of a crime. Performed
similar functions with the network security servers operated by CCD. Designed and
implemented intrusion detection and analysis tools; devised automated methods
to recover evidentiary data from UNIX and other network-based systems penetrated
by unauthorized parties. Created programs to support legally sufficient forensic
data recovery activities. Provided on-site support, assistance and guidance to
OIG criminal investigators about computer crimes and forensic data recovery matters
with respect to network systems. Functioned as system administrator of CCD network
servers, related sensitive systems and communications servers for these systems.
Responsible for various CI duties. Created, managed and deployed network
server services for WAN, LAN, and other network. Functioned as an OIG
expert-trainer by devising and teaching OIG and other personnel about "cutting-edge"
automated techniques relating to processing electronic evidence.

Primary HP/Sun Sparc Systems Administrator and secondary System Administrator of SGI's,
and a Dec Alpha Station. I was responsible for two HP9000/819 K class servers, HP900
0/861 D class server, HP735/125 server, and two Sun Sparc 20's. Major responsibilities
included: Installation, configuration and maintenance of various software packages including
Sybase, OpenView, and AutoSys, Softbench, Cadre Teamwork/Ensemble, and many auxiliary
packages (perl 5, bash, tcpdump, xgraph, tk(wish), tcl7.6(tclsh), cvs, etc...).
Installation/upgrade of the operating system. Maintenance of the DAT tape backups for all HP-UX
systems on a daily basis. Creation and removal of user accounts on the systems. Creation and
maintenance of software and documentation library. Monitored the system performance.
Monitored network connections to our internal network and the internet. Implementation
of fail-over procedures for the various platforms. OS optimization and standardization
(including patches). Working with OS/hardware vendors to resolve various issues.
Assisted software administrators with installation support. Providing solutions
for user/developer's problems, and catered to their various computational needs. Provide
monthly and quarterly status reports on system activity. Also was responsible for a Cisco 7507 router.

Responsibilities and duties included: monitoring the users' areas,
providing consultation to student and faculty, and carrying out procedures
and policies associated with a particular users' area, communicating solutions
to users for problems that arise on VAX/VMS, Pathworks Networks, DOS/Windows,
Macintosh and any application supported by these operating systems.
06/91 to 09/94 - Office Automation,

Hyattsville, MD
Responsibilities and duties included: Performed general office duties such
as typing, keeping office logs, duplicating, scheduling, requisitioning,
issuing and maintaining office supplies. Vast knowledge of PC Hardware;
Repaired and installed hard disk, CPU, and other computer boards. Also
maintained impact and laser printer. Configured telecommunications
interfaces. Developed applications for and operated scanners, color
printers, modems, tape backup drives, external hard disks. Developed
briefing materials including charts, graphs, graphics, and textual material
for slides, transparencies, and slide shows.
