John McCloskey:
guitar John enjoys playing in a variety of styles, and he
has played with numerous jazz and rock groups since moving to the Washington,
D.C. area in 1988. He spent a few
years studying with the former D.C.-based jazz guitarist Paul Bollenback,
from whom he learned a great deal.
Our debut CD was recorded in John's basement
studio, a.k.a. Meep and Myrna Studios (named after his cats). A more aggressive, rock-based side of
John's playing can be heard with The
Dark Aether Project, a Baltimore-based progressive rock group whom he
joined in the Fall of 2000. The
group's 3rd CD, "The Gentle
Art of Firewalking," was released in January 2002. By day, John works as an Electronics
Engineer for NASA. |
